Paleo Cranberry Sauce

Thanksgiving is one of the toughest holidays to resist the sugary urges to indulge in the treats. Lucky for us, we can take some of the typical dishes served and make a healthier version that tastes fantastic! One such dish is the Paleo Cranberry Sauce, which will forever change the jelly-like cranberries that are normally served!

Paleo Cranberry Sauce

After you make this simple recipe, you will wonder why you used canned cranberries in the past. Total time for the recipe is between 20-25 minutes. There is very little prep work involved, and most of the time is spent with the sauce boiling on the stove.

After the cranberries have boiled for awhile, set them aside and let it cool. As it cools the cranberries will start to thicken up into their “jelly” form! Serve with your favorite Thanksgiving dishes!

Paleo Cranberry Sauce

Paleo Cranberry Sauce is a perfect addition to your healthy Thanksgiving meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Cranberries
  • 1 large Orange
  • 1/2 cup Raw Honey, can add more or less depending on your tartness preference
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Peel the orange, place into your blender and blend until smooth.
  • Add all ingredients into a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Bring the ingredients to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low to simmer until the berries start to break open. Continue to cook for a total time of 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
  • Serve with your turkey and mashed potatoes!
